They gave me boxes of pills when I went home.
Staggered around for a week as I had no idea what I was taking and I was well stoned.
A mate of mines wife is a Nurse and she told me, amongst other stuff, I was taking heavy duty morphine.
I binned the lot.

I had mine in with just Local Anaesthetic. Did not feel a thing even the stitches they use to hold them in place

Just an update on my progress. Went back into Hospital to have the Catheter removed and trialled to see if i can pass enough Urine. I expected to go in and be taught how to self Catheterise but the good news is i am now Catheter free and do not need to do the Self Catheterising. All be it i will always retain around 350ml in my bladder and can only pass around 200 max. So this means when i first took ill and retained 2.5 litres in my bladder it put it to the point of never being able to fully recover.
Also the good news is i tried the cross trainer gently yesterday and today and have had no problems. Still have to wait till the end of November to be able to continue the fitness fully.
I have noticed that since the operation and doing the cross trainer my heart rate is a lot higher than it was before and that is doing a mild 20 min session instead of a faster 45 min one. So hopefully it looks like i am getting back to normal for the first time in 7 months and i am hoping my heart level gets back to normal when exercising in another months time

They stuck one up may old chap back in 2014, can't remember it going in, can't remember it coming out.
I was stoned out of my tiny little mind on morphine.
Lol me too! Never felt a thing.

Glad to hear you've lost the self catheter mode. That's a relief I'm sure! Just had my poke and probe and slight enlargement but smooth so allan well for now. Suffer from PTSD and have been on morphine twice a day for over twenty years due to a work related accident. Anti-depression meds as well but still able to put one foot in front of the other and when I feel better I'll be back in the Zed which gets a new waterpump and thermostat this weekend!! Just in time for the snow which fell overnight!! Take care my friend and safe driving when you can!! JIM

Bill glad to hear you are on the mend and gradually getting back to normal.

I just had my annual medical MOT last week (which I passed OK) and happened to mention to the nurse as to whether there was a PSA result amongst the blood test results. I was informed that it wasn't part of the annual check and my doctor has to authorise a PSA test separately.
Rang the doctor next day explained my concerns about possibility of enlarged prostate, no problem provide urine and blood samples over a couple of days and then a physical check when results are back. Four days later after good results from the samples, the check confirmed everything is normal.
Peace of mind.
