The morning sessions were as you followed a pace car. The afternoon was 'Free Running' with no limits. This was a better driving event rather than a full track day. Great fun even if it looks slow. Huge difference between following a car round the circuit rather than making your own decisions on entry speed, when to turn in etc.
Firstly I should have said earlier, thanks for the Video - also its more interesting track than Blyton.
Right at the begining of the video - they guy waving you on looks like Harry 'Opie' Winston from sons of Sons of Anarchy.
Enjoyed watching the video at cadwell it brought back some good memories from when i enjoyed the track on my bike. Great video quality what camera is it ?
That looks pretty good to me @Twin Turbo. The problem I have with mine is it records lots of files which you then have to put together. The files vary in length from about 10sec to 1 minute even though I've set it to 10mins
Have you got an eBay link to your camera Dave, I've got 3 now and never had that problem. They've always recorded segments of the length I set it to. The cheapest one only cost £7 as it was on an auction and luckily I snapped it at the death at the starting price.
It's possible that could be the reason for varying recording times. If the cable loses contact only for a split second it will initiate a "new" recording. I have mine wired through a cig lighter extension which I cut the plug end off and wired to an ignition fed live and earth then taped the connection to keep it secure. You could try securing your into the lighter socket with some gaffer tape as a temporary measure to see if it eliminates the problem. Worth a try.
Now that's a good idea Tony. It could be the vibration (sport suspension) causing a short interruption. When I try it next I'll wire it it in more permanently and see if it's any better. Thanks for the tip.
Has the camera got a g-force sensor @Mint?, if so you can usually turn this off with a setting on the SD card and put it onto constant record, I found with my camera the gooseneck and the mountain corners would trigger this option. When my camera detects an "event" it would then save this as a separate mini clip.
