Write Up Frankie's & Miller's American ///M Adventure

It's just the size of the sky, silly as that sounds, that is so amazing. Oh, and the blue skies too. One day we're hoping to do Route 66, my mate wants to do that on a bike, I'm no biker though.Tony.

It's on my bucket list too, I'd love to do it on a Harley Fatboy though, or in one of ZZ Top's customised hot rods:cool:

I knew they'd be another spoiler like mine on this planet somewhere, just didn't figure I'd see it on someone's road trip. Did enjoy the vids but was gobsmacked at the blowout and state of the tyres, M owners check your alinement ASAP. This trip is what dreams are made of, thanks for letting us share it.:thankyou:

This was one of the best roads ,and yes @t-tony the sky and clouds we're amazing .tha second pic is the sign that we were getting close to the end of the trip,it also had a plane in the sky heading back for the uk.all good things have to come to an end...until the next one :)

Thanks Hugh, I can't wait till we can have enough time over there to do something like you and Frankie did.:):) It makes you understand the term "Big Sky" doesn't it?

Tony.

Speaking of which, have you ever been down the Florida Keys Garry? At any time of day or night where ever you're staying you will here those old bikes going up or down US1 , an unmistakeable sound. Whenever I hear one it takes me back there.

Tony.

I have Hugh's pictures downloaded into my computer. I don't want to show them because they're Hugh's. EXCEPT THIS ONE. Think back to the videos. Hugh had disappeared over the edge of the walkway of the Grand Canyon and went out on a rock ledge. I had a tough time following him and lost him. I could no longer see where he was going but I was afraid for him as one false move and I would have to make that sad phone call to Sarah. After looking around for a few minutes I finally caught sight of him. I couldn't believe what I was looking at. You might remember in the video when he came back, he said it really got to him. He had really gotten frightened. He said he was sitting on a ledge with his feet dangling over the edge. What really scared him was a gust of wind came by and pushed against him and he thought he might go over the edge. And, of course, there is no coming back, one way only. I had his camera in my hands and took the following picture. The reason I didn't take one with my camera was that I had to look away I was so afraid for him. Here's the picture..................

I've never been across the Atlantic, the extent of my travels is main land Europe, and I've never driven any type of motor vehicle while I was there either.
I rode a donkey once though =))

They are terribly strong , these mirrors........:D

It's quite eye opening to those who've never driven there, isn't it!! A picture a second no matter what time of day or direction you're going. Who'd think rocks and sand could create such beauty. So glad you and Hugh were able to enjoy it together. And all the stories he has to share with Baaabs!! JIM
