Z3 stereo code

Hi everyone I'm Stuart, recently became the owner of a beutifull 1999 BMW Z3 it has the original stereo but not the code for it anyone got any ideas.

If its the original unit for the car then your local BMW Dealer will.be able to get it for you, often at no cost if you're lucky.
If it'd not the original one for the car they should still be able to get it from the unit serial number or id number.

I bought a OE radio cassette and cd changer in unknown condition with no code my local audio specialist recoded it for me ( as I got a code from serial number but radio had been re coded at some point so it didn't work.
Audio guy read the code straight off the unit eprom.
Cost me £10.

Thanks Steven good to know, was going to replace the unit with an up to date one but the more I drive it the more I want to keep it all original

Welcome - often the code has been written on top of the unit - unfortunately you will have to pull the unit out to see it.

BMW Huddersfield give it over the phone, they just ask for the reg, assuming it's the original one in the car.

Thanks tried them this morning they didn't have the code on record ended up buying it on eBay £2.48 stereo is now working
