Cheers Tony I'm in Dewsbury West Yorkshire. If its the original unit for the car then your local BMW Dealer will.be able to get it for you, often at no cost if you're lucky.
If it'd not the original one for the car they should still be able to get it from the unit serial number or id number.
Tony.
ps welcome to the forum Stu from me near Lincoln. Where are you located please?
Thanks Steven good to know, was going to replace the unit with an up to date one but the more I drive it the more I want to keep it all originalHi and welcome from me in Scotland.
I bought a OE radio cassette and cd changer in unknown condition with no code my local audio specialist recoded it for me ( as I got a code from serial number but radio had been re coded at some point so it didn't work.
Audio guy read the code straight off thu unit eprom.
Cost me £10.
Stephen.
Already checked but thanks anywayWelcome - often the code has been written on top of the unit - unfortunately you will have to pull the unit out to see it.
Thanks tried them this morning they didn't have the code on record ended up buying it on eBay £2.48 stereo is now workingA fellow West Yorkshireman.
BMW Huddersfield give it over the phone, they just ask for the reg, assuming it's the original one in the car.
