That is because your internet connection is crap.
...and to expand on that... a slow internet connection will take a while to upload images, but on top of that the server resizes and compresses any images uploaded. You need to be patient even on a reasonable connection while it does it's thing. If it didn't do this you would all have to resize your images before uploading them - and you all know how to do that don't you ;) Even worse, you would have to use some shabby advertisement riddled service like PhotoBucket to upload them, and then link to them *shudders at the thought*

The key word here is patience.

I think people don't realise the luxury of being able to upload images directly... /end tech talk

I certainly do Gaz, after being on the other site for a while I never mastered their way of uploading pictures. That was one of the main reasons I rated this forum as highly, on my intro post I couldn't believe how easy it is to upload. And also the warm welcome from your good self in an almost instant reply. Nearly 2 years already. Thanks for all you do mate.

Tony.

it was bloody brilliant ....wind, mud, fallen trees....u turns a plenty...stunning scenery and plenty of laughs along the way...thanks to everyone for turning up for the mud bath

Can anyone tell me the name and location of our starting point last year?
Believe it was somewhere near Lotherton so looking at a possible gathering point.

Found it Squires Cafe Sherburn in Elmet
