Gave the car a wash this morning and the sun was shining so there was only one option, put the top down and have a tazz round the Peak District.

Deep sea Blue is a lovely colour for an E89 when clean and the sun's out.

Your exhaust tips are still filthy, though!;)

Yep, the tail pipe trims are past it really. I've been thinking about replacing the trims since I bought it, but still haven't got round to it.

Mine ditto, been wondering for a while what to about them. Brasso isn't going to be enough . . .

You can buy replacement tips cheap on fleabay Alex. They just knock off and on, but I keep thinking I'd rather have a stainless back box like I had on the E85. Just not a priority at the moment. I seem to remember @bombur replacing the tips on his E89 shortly after buying it .

Only the twin pipes knock on and off (with internal sprung steel). The dual pipes on the N54s are welded on!

I removed the pair on our first E89 and ground them back to bare steel on the bench. Then gave them a few coats of 'chrome spray' from a rattle can. It isn't like chrome but nor is the OEM finish (more like a shinyish silver). Worked well.

I hate dirty exhaust tips on cars! :)

The old ones did give a fight to stay on and the amount of crap that came with them was amazing, looked like tarmac
