Write Up tour de France ,Belgum,Switzerland,Italy,Switzerland,France,Italy............E

My revised route will be leaving on July 20th for three weeks...

Interesting route Jim. I've driven big chunks of the France and Italian parts - that's big mileage for 3 weeks. Best of luck.

Glad to see that you will stop over in Slovenia, you will enjoy it. Roads are good as well, even the B roads. Along the motorway down to Koper, they put fencing up to stop the bears getting on to the road, as a lot had migrated into the country during the civil war.(so I was told)
My taxi driver used to hate driving over this bridge, I thought it was fantastic.
Drove my first Z3 down there as well.

Omg that looks like a epic !I am so envious right now.Just a little thought we really enjoyed col du galibier the route starts a few k from Modane, but you look as though you have your hands full as it is

............... may cheat a bit though, ... the costs involved versus petrol usage.
Hi Jim, I've previously sent you the link `on cheating a bit' with Genova to Palermo ferry but there are shorter options from Livorno, Cittavecchia or Naples to Messina. The drive down from South of Naples through Calabria to Messina ferry is not very interesting unless you wander along the coast roads and you don't seem to have time for that. Autoroute/autostrada tolls can be significant on some routes. HTH

just been doing a little research into next year's trip ,and was looking at doing a ferry to one of the spanish ports doing alittle of the pyreneese and then back though France .Looking for advice and recomendations
