What are the bad points on the Z4 and can you live with them

Nothing technical but for me the cabin turbulence is awful, even with the wind deflector. You end up with frostbite on your right ear (in my case) Have tried all sorts of combinations, windows up, down, half open and one open. And what have they done with the storage, the net is so small it's useless and finally you need child like hands to use the door pockets which hold almost nothing. You did ask lol

Now can I live with them, not sure need to have blast in the Z3, perhaps it's just as bad and I've forgotten. Been sometime since we used the Z3

A day out driving 200 miles today. We took a ride over to do the Stelvio Pass. Why, because it's on every drivers wish list, including mine. That was the problem, it seems everybody was driving the Stelvio today. It was so busy you could not have any fun what with the cars, motorbikes and pedal bikes. In fact when we got to the top we drove on, there was absolutely nowhere to park a baby buggy let alone a Zed. So we just drove over the Stelvio with everybody else, quite disappointing really. On the way back we went through a single lane tunnel which was about 2 miles long controlled by traffic lights, great fun. We also had to put the roof up today as we had a mahoosive thunderstorm, very heavy rain and lots of lightning and thunder. A couple of pics, just after the top of the Stelvio and Lake Livigno.

No the Z3 is much better Pauline! Only been in a 4 for 39 mins and that was yours and the 3 is just world's better!!! I'm only kidding! Whatever decision you make it will be the right one for you two. As long as it's a Zed and you stay on the forum that'll do for us!!

Oh what a bummer mate. Always a huge disappointment when you actually get to do something on your bucket list and it doesn't live up to expectations. Your still driving the continent in a Zed and having a fab time and just see the storm as a free car wash!

Well it certainly washed the dust off.
But then you have to drive on the wet roads with the resulting mess on the back of the car… sighs…

It rained twice while we were in France, each time the car was covered in red dust. Showed up really well against the Blue.

Brought back old memories. This term was used by the forces, when a group marching were being slow and sloppy, more of an in time coordinated walk than a march. If seen by an officer or SNCO you would here a shout of "Stop bimbling" . Its something you heard a lot when going through basic training. No body had a clue what it meant back then so you got shouted at even more. The OED says it originated in the 1980's which would tie in with my experiences in the MOB.

At the Alpenhoff we had the same prob, flies everywhere which is a shame, the owners r new but still a gud hosts,

We have finished our first holiday in the Alps now having our resting holiday in a villa in Spain. Did 386 miles today to get here

We did it in the spring one year and the fall the next but that was before global warming took such a hold so there was plenty of snow held back by by the netting. Sorry there was so much traffic you couldn't really experience the joy! I am so much appreciating the writeups!! JIM

Another great top down day again today. We went over to St. Moritz and Davos. A quieter day on the roads too even though it was Saturday, managed to have some fun. Went over the Maloja, Fluela and Julier passes. Again superb scenery, probably better than yesterday.

Climate change certainly has taken it's toll on the mountain tops. Normally, back even 20 yrs they would have been snow covered. I love mountains but prefer snow topped for sure. If you can fit Burchesgarten take the day trip to the top of Mt zugsptiz the highest in the German Alps. At the top is a border station as part is in Austria. It's well worth the trip, believe me!! And you can pick up a Nutcracker from the factory outlet for my wife who has quite a valuable collection of them. Enjoy, JIM

From the Zugspitz it's a short(?) drive into Austria to see both of the Mad King Ludwig's two castles. Well worth it if you are interested in castles. And you can drive by the field Julie Andrews twirled away in the Sound of Music. Great roads and magnificent scenery to be viewed with lots of stop offs for pics. JIM
