Write Up The Lakes Tour 2019

A quick shot taken on Sunday outside the Kirkstone Pass Inn, a former coaching inn dating back to 1496, reputed to be haunted and sitting on one of the highest points.

Finally a big thanks to Mike (mwpe) without who's help I would not have been there. Not only did he chauffeur me around but also detoured to pick me up and drop me back home following surgery which prevented me driving. Can't speak highly enough of the people that make this forum/club what it is  (And dear old Gaz who created it of course!!)

Just got back home after having an extra day in the Lake District (over 1000 miles in all). Had an amazing time seeing places and roads we never knew existed all thanks to Andy 's planning and organisation, and not forgetting Steve (our leader) and Mint. Photos are incredible, scenery breathtaking, lovely hotel and such a friendly group of enthusiasts. What a brilliant experience all round especially with the roof down and the sun shining on us! Thanks to everyone. Bob & Sue
Glad you both enjoyed it.

Many thanks mate, glad you both enjoyed the weekend

Managed to sign up but struggling with how site works at moment, not very good with modern technology and not sure whose thread I am on but Just want to say thanks to Andy also, we had a brilliant weekend with great company and were made very welcome by everyone.

This is the part of the tour that the other groups did not do:rolleyes:. It's Hardknott Pass from East to West, don't worry there is no audio on this clip:

Wow there's a quality bit of road :wideyed:. Scenery looked stunning though

Great footage Dave,
Funnily enough we’ve done hardknott on numerous occasions
But never east to west!
