Write Up The Glorious Lakes in January.

After a chance chit chat with @Mint and @Mrs Mint it was swiftly decided to carry out a trial run of day 2 of the 2020 Lakes Tour run. A spot of tea, chit chat and banter and a couple of sherberts the night before then on it, early for the Mints and several hours into the day for me 1.5 hours from our gaff to the start point down the West Coast road, coffee, SatNav set (Garmin is pants ) and off. It's an absolute peach of a route . A couple of stops for coffee/snacks to check out the chit chat stops, both seem good January, a bit of sun and roofs down from 09:00hrs to 17:00hrs, 0°C - 3 °C so heaters and wooley hats and heated seats were the order of the day, toasty. All in all a superb night before and day out in the glorious Lakes. Great company and assistance (TomTom is good ), see you both in May if not before, thanks guys

What a great weekend, up to Glym Towers yesterday for a scoop or two and chat. Then as Andy says an early start for us to recce Day 2, and yes, it is a superb run. Can't wait to do it again but next time with 6 Zeds behind me. Shattered now having driven 470 miles over two days so I'll sort some photos tomorrow.
