An absolutely superb day out in the Yorkshire Dales with Charlotte today (Child No.2). 271 miles of roof down driving down the West Cumbrian Coast Road and over into the Dales with a couple of food stops, the Wensleydale Ice Cream Shop (@Nodzed 🍦) then a nice hot meal at the Fat Lamb. A few nice cars at this petrol head pub today.

Looks like a great day. Excellent Talbot Samba action too, there can't be many of those left!

As you say some interesting cars Andy. Love that Talbot Samba (Peugeot 104 in disguise) I used to work on those.. Not sure about the alloys on that old Rover 80 (90) though. I would prefer to see the original steel wheels.

Tony.

Great photos @andyglym - good weather, great scenery, family, nice cars - perfect day really . . . Wish we'd had some of that weather here, I've done enough cloudy and cold now . . .
Magic day mate, just magic

They were made out of bean cans, so thin you could almost see through them. And, these were the era when Peugeot-Talbot, overnight, started offering a 7 years anti-corrosion warranty. My that was fun!. Not. The colour of the one in the pictures was called Jonquil. That and white cars saw rust bleeding out of every body seam before a year old, and we had to convince owners that it was an "anti perferation" warrany not anti-corrosion, meaning they had to watch their car dissolving and unless it corroded into a hole in 7 years there wasn't anything a dealer could do.

Quality mate =))

Looked like a great day up there Andy, top down , lovely countryside and interesting cars. Dull, cold and damp here and then the rain started. We had the central heating on! Still chucking it down, but I'm telling myself it's doing the garden good. It doesn't help.😂
