OK, so not so much an event but I always get excited when I head off to do things with other Zed owners. Today's activity was to join @David who had blagged the hard top bargain of the year. He wanted someone to pop down to Brighton and help him collect it, and the fitting kit which was still attached to the car it was currently on.

Met up with David and we headed off in Scarlett to Eastbourne to where the car was located in at a garage, where we had full use of the facilities (even got a cuppa thrown in). Took plenty of pictures so thought I would share some.

The donor car, a pretty decent condition Altanta Blue 2.8 with tan interior (driver seat was a bit ropey though). This is going up for sale soon, so if anyone on the south coast is looking...

Neither David or I had any idea what we were doing, so luckily he downloaded the installation PDF from the articles section. If you want to know how to do it, read that don't ask me as it was a blur... Seriously though it was pretty straightforward to remove the fitting kits.

Some action shots...

It fits :D. Yes we know it's not the right colour!

It needs a bit of tinkering to get it aligned up properly, but we didn't look at all the install guides apparently.

@Gaz - Thanks for the company and assistance, amigo.
You are welcome, it was a good laugh. Can't believe we managed to get out of the garage with 1 minute to spare before the guy had to leave....

I am afraid as i pick colour matching for my job, cream and red are not right, a very deep purple maybe Luke....

As a colour blind person who refurbished his own interior, I believe I have the right to politely disagree with you. Cream and Red work.

That's the Med's mate.;)

Not over here Jimbo, the stuff you can get over here can keep you up all night.........;)

I like the Austin Healey style side panel. Nice and retro.:)
