Well I managed to arrive before the crowds and set up with Martin Kaye from the Z3 M Coupe Forum so we could make a quick get away wher they let the Classic Cars leave. A big turn out of cars, great displays by Red Arrows (low cloud prevented a full display), Spitfire and Hurricane from Memorial Flight, Catalina flying boat, stunt planes, gyrocopter and Typhoon Eurofighter. Russ Swift was there with his beautiful red AC Cobra. A few pictures below.
Some cool old motors there. Not seen the Arrows for a couple of years so had better get to an air show soon. That 289 slabside cobra was very very nice indeed.

Very true. However if your travels take you to Florida and you’re in Pensacola on a Wednesday you can watch their Blue Angels display team practice from the side of the runway absolutely free, weather permitting. The last time we were there it was called of at the last minute due only to low cloud base. We went to the Naval Air Museum instead (a 5 minute walk away) and had lunch there too.
The Gilbern and the Mercedes SLC were owned by the same fella who I got talking to when I got parked up and admiring the Gilbern with the V6 Ford engine as it had the same engine as the Reliant Scimitars that I'd owned way back. I'd opened up the rear hatch on my car so I could get my flask of coffee out. Much to my surprise the driver of the Mercedes AMG GTS parked next to the Gilbern took a photo of the rear hatch interior of my car.
Turns out that he was the Gilbern owners future son-in-law and was also MD of Holts Products.
We had a good natter about my car and the Holts Puncture Repair Canisters. The product is good for years he said and doesn't go off, as long as you have gas in the cylinder the system will work. Hope I never have to use it though.
