Write Up Stilton Cheese Run 22/4/18

A few shots from today’s Stilton Cheese Run starting with a Z3 and ending with another, albeit very different!

33,000 miles and only with its second owner. Black sports seats, air con, and a subtle boot spoiler. Looked very nice. Owner not very interested in forum sadly.

The owner of this Ferrari look-alike had some real challenges making it all fit together - not one for the average DIY motorist! Looked good though! Again the owner wasn’t interested in the forum.

All in all, a really nice day out in lovely countryside between Uppingham and Oundle.

Hadn’t seen one of those conversations before. It was the dashboard that gave it away initially. Seats were from a Rover 75.

I wonder how difficult/costly it is to insure?

Kit car policies are usually pretty cheap

When you think of all the hours that go into conversations like that, the difficulty in making repairs, and the loss of the manufacturer’s safety/design integrity, that’s surprising. Not doubting what you say, but struggling to see the logic. Must be missing something!

You put that much time money and effort in to a car you're going to look after it.

Can't really see what he's done that would effect the manufacturers safety /design integrity to be honest. All he's done is removed the outer skin (panels) not the structure. It wouldn't effect how the car is tested.

Pretty tempting if you have a Z3 with terrible bodywork but sound mechanicals!

Seems there’s some choice out there too with the Cobra and Bertini versions too.
