Hi all
Noticed on my Z3 that the passenger door latch will occasionally not open the door and i have to realese the door from inside the car.
Has anyone else had a similar issue with either door and is there an easy fix or is it a matter of stripping the door card off to access the components behind it?

Thanks in advance
Dave

If it only happens every now and again it will more then likely just need lubricating, so door card off and whilst your in there give the window mech a good seeing too, spray grease is your friend

Check the latch on the B post, noticed my door was sitting slightly proud the other week, loosened off the bolts and adjusted the position of the catch so the door closed and latched flush with the rear wing panel. Little bit of adjustment eitrher way on the catch so check if yours is set in to far making the release a bit sticky.

A bit of WD40 in the corners under the door handle worked for me. Not had the problem since.

If you push in on the door does that help open it?

I had the same problem and it looks like the latch on the door has just been worn down. Instead of spending a fortune on a new latch I just put some tape on it to increase the thickness. Now I don't have a problem. I'm still trying to find something longer lasting then tape though.
