Huge thanks to @Lazzzydog and anyone else involved for organising todays Shropshire / Welsh cruise. Was a great day, some amazing views and company with a great pace throughout. The weather even stayed dry! Couple of pics from me, hardly took any but have a couple of vids from the dashcam.

@AleNod's? Z4 posing as a cop car :nailbiting:

Heading up the Horseshoe pass to the Ponderosa

Randoms, actually didn't recognise @gookah's back end as he's usually in my rear view mirror :ymdevil: And the rear of Tony's ///M made me want one, it looked great.

It's a shame everyone got stuck behind that caravan, he had one hell of a queue behind him and wouldn't pull over.

Great videos and photos Dave. I’m glad somebody remembered to take some at the start and up at the Ponderosa.
I am sorry that one or two people went slightly off route but everybody seemed to take it in good spirit and it did not spoil the day. The stupid caravanner taking his outfit over that narrow steep pass and not having the common courtesy to pull over was a pain but hopefully his nuts will go square and fester at the corners!

Many thanks Tony @Lazzzydog for organising today's Shro...ahem..Welsh cruise .
Apologies to my group for the single track farm roads, brown water fords and bits of jungle in the road to negotiate :banghead:.
@Jjim came to the rescue thankfully and got us literally out of the doo doo :).

Great pics and vid clips David, sorry I didn't get to chat with you and your Dad.

Thanks for a excellent ride out today here are start and halfway pictures we took, we peeled off halfway to make our way South, got back just after 4pm. Car cleaned inside and out and put away for next time out.

Thanks Tony @Lazzzydog for a great cruise.

I have to say Its the best one I have been on.

It was not like some of the mad flat-out rat races that I have been on before, we did lots of driving within the speed limits which enabled us drivers to have a look at the scenery, and it was also interspersed with some places where you could get a bit of a blast on, and some slippery movements on hairpins..( )

I felt that we also followed the rules of keeping up with the car behind, and not the one in front. Even pulling over a couple of times to let the others that didn't get a clear road to pass the caravan, catch up.

There was one moment when I thought a motorbiker who cut the corner coming the other way so much, was going to put his head in my drivers window, :hellsangels::bashhead:
David is that on your dash cam?

Haha . . . Didnt know my cars lights did that while the roof was doing its thing. Nice videos and photos too !

Thanks @Lazzzydog for organising, that was enjoyable ! Thanks to all new faces I met, I'll try to remember everyones name ! That was enjoyable, driving for the fun of it, that seems to be getting lost these days, the Zed seems to start giving it back (apart from the occasional caravan, natch...).

Thanks everyone, see you next time . . .

Agree with all the comments above, so thanks @Lazzzydog for arranging the day. As always great company and roads and I'm not sure who you talked to about the weather Tony but it was worth it. Only a couple of photos from me today, too busy chatting...

And just after I dropped Jemma off at her house in Shrewsbury I was waiting at the lights to head home and @Mint @Bozzy and @le frog came past

So I caught them up

Good to see you again Dave, great to see what we look like on the road:thumbsup:

He was close. Do you know where about it could be will be on there somewhere.

Great to meet you all at the start today, and to put some faces to names. Shame I couldn't make the run, but on the plus side, I drove home with a smile on my face, playing tunes with my by now silky smooth gearbox - what a difference changing the oil (and using automatic transmission fluid) made!

Couldn't understand how you left first and then was behind us
It was mentioned that you no longer had a passenger :whistle:wondered where you had left Jemma !!!!
All has become clear now lol

@Lazzzydog & Jeano

Bit late adding my little bit but just back after an extended stay. Big thank you to Tony for organising first of all a great location for our meal the night before, liked it so much me and Jacquie went back last night to enjoy it once more, it didn't disappoint all be it with out the great company from the previous night. Then the day itself really good run around Wales, these things don't happen so well without good planning. Great roads and scenery as said previous, not flying but sticking within the limits, so no unexpected tickets in the post but all the same some spirited motoring. Zedders as ever are a great bunch of people, once again meeting old friends and new, a mega weekend.

Zed had good company at the Digs, Old School house Shawbury really homely feel at a very reasonable price.

Plenty of space, just as we like it

Lorry park an ideal start point for the day ahead

At the Ponderosa, windy city

Final stop for most

After all the planning, think the relief for Tony is exploding

we got back home about 17:30 today had a great weekend at shrewbury and cheltenham last night.. and enjoyed the drive up to prees heath sunday morning, and the the two organised runs by Tony... thanks we had not seen the area before and will definitely be going up again to visit and see more of the area...

had the roof down all weekend other than parking up at night in car parks

shame about the caravan up over that mountain road and of course i got stuck behind it for a while as didnt have the power of the 3 cars in front of me...

car was behaving well all the way until we got back to monmouth and for some reason the ABS light is on and is staying on.. hope to get down to @colb some time this week or whenever he can fit me in so i can plug the car in and see what the issue is.

great to meet old friends and good to see some new faces on the run...

not sure the mileage we done but must have been about 350 miles...

didnt get any pictures unfortunately... but did cross off another 4 wetherspooons pubs off our list..!!

thanks Again Tony.

@Lazzzydog Thanks for a great day out on Sunday mate, really enjoyed it, fabulous roads, beautiful scenery and a really nice bunch of people, and a big thank you to both Alex & Paul for letting me have a drive of their cars, certainly helps with the decision making.

Next time you guys go out, let me know. Im in Telford and will happily come along in Betty Boe Beemer. Shes probably not as nice as yours cosmetically but she still has it where it counts!
