Making a bit of a roadtrip tomorrow on our way up from york to Inverness for Stevo's Scottish run on Saturday. 2 nights stay below Edinburgh and 2 nights near braemar. Can't wait to see the scenery and enjoy the roads

Super road past Glenshee to Braemar. I’m just over an hour from Braemar and sometimes take that road when travelling South even though it’s half an hour longer
There’s a nice tearoom/ gift shop (.Goodbrand and Ross Tearoom) a few miles before the Lecht ski centre when travelling North from Ballater which is sometimes quite popular for classic cars stopping at on a nice day .

Storm had a rest today. So we had a walk to lloch kinmord then bus trip to braemar
At braemar monument to crew lost when wellington bomber crashed 1942 made out of one of the recovered engines
Turns out it rains in Scotland sometimes!

Having lived here all my life I can tell you it rains a lot .
And having a Scottish run at this time of year ( or any time really) has a high risk of rain .
Then also the issue of the further north and west you go the bigger the risk.
