I've been using the zed daily for a couple of weeks whilst Jues car has been off the road, it's not been much fun as it has a lack of power, supping fuel like @hard top in the local on a Saturday night and coughing and farting like a good un! I spoke with @Lee who suspected the Cam positioning sensor. I've been round to @Jjim this morning to get a reader on it and here's the diagnosis...

Well done Lee! After shopping around this morning I've ordered one from Euros to collect on Monday. Jim has showed me where to fit it and even for me with limited skills it should take about 5 minutes to change. Thanks to @Jjim and @Lee for their help

Great relief to get a diagnosis that has an easy and hopefully cheap fix. Soon be back on song.

Well done to team Zorg for helping out

Btw - they open Monday it being a bank holiday?

Glad it’s all up and soon to be running, and good effort by Team Zorg.

@Jjim , your C310+ scanner. Does it work plugged into the 20 way round socket using an adaptor lead????
I have seen one on line, but it only comes with the IDC connector for which I dont have the mating half on my car. Just the 20way round pin in the engine bay.

Which sensor are you replacing, camshaft or crankshaft? I would agree with Lee that the symptoms appear to be camshaft, but your diagnostic says crankshaft?

If you get the air bag re set tool (about £16 of e bay) that comes with the adapter.

@Paul Rice , this is what I got to do the airbag reset but it appears that’s all it does.
I was looking to getting a C310+ as that seems to do more diagnostics, but would it work with my adaptor lead into the 20way round plug

Yes better to go for oem but it'll do for the minute to get it going. If I get a couple of years from it it's served it's purpose and I'll get a better quality one.

Right it would appear I have confused Camshaft with Crankshaft so it's back to Euros tomorrow to change my order.. Thanks to @Ianmc for spotting the error.
