It's all about BMW 'M Performance' and 3cyl front wheel drive is leading the way:

In estoril blue too...that's made a once great M colour a bit school run!

This x1000. It's just a marketing asset these days rather than a badge of honour. Merc have gone the same way with AMG. So many low spec rep mobiles running around with performance branded badges slapped on.
