New Coupe Owner in Northern California

Hi, all.

I just purchased my 4th BMW, but 1st Z3 and a coupe at that. It's a 1999 Boston Green (perfect respray) with Beige interior and only has 76,000 miles on it. It has some garbage cheap tires on it, so the first thing I'll do in a couple of weeks is put something more appropriate on the wheels.

I just found this site and am happy to see so much worldwide interest in the Zs.

Thank you all for the nice welcome! It's great to see all the great photos and find a common thread like the Zs. Mine goes into my BMW shop tomorrow morning for a "post-purchase" inspection. Yes, I did this backwards because I had a narrow window in which to buy this one - like one day. And it has enough records and recent inspection history that I took a small chance and bought it without a thorough mechanic's look. It had a respray but someone did an excellent job on it because it's difficult to tell. I do know that the brakes are a bit thin, and for sure I need new tires - the Chinese GeoStar tires are garbage even though the tread is like new. The PO always drove it in straight lines, I guess, because it sure doesn't want to hold the road. After the brakes, tires will be my very next task.

Now to read through all the posts here on the forum that I can, and catch up!
