As some of you may know my Z3 2.8 is my first car at 17 years old.

I have been looking forward to doing a road trip like this for many years. I spotted that the British Rally Championship were hosting a rally near the Brecon Beacons in April. I have always been in love with/ around motorsport for much of my life but somehow I had never seen a rally! Having been told what a lovely area it is I found and booked a nearby campsite.

Week before the trip:
I could not believe my luck, on my way home from work (10 min journey) a rock was flicked up by the car in front and put a sizeable 6 inch crack on my rather new windscreen.
And if that wasn't unfortunate, 2 days before the trip I found a nail in my 1500 mile old Michelin tyre! Fortunately, a friend owed me a favour so it was replaced that same day.

Friday:
I drove the 3hr 30 mins up there (mostly A roads) on Friday afternoon with a Z3 full of stuff! It really made me think about what I was packing! I was cooking all my food so there is certainly lots of stuff that goes along with that!

Saturday:
The BRC website had only released the stage locations a few days ago and unfortunately both the spectator stages were nearly an hour away from the campsite!
However, the early start and drive exposed me to some fantastic roads.

Great run out, excellent pics too:thumbsup:

Well done! I love a Wales road trip and I have photos in many of the same spots, so I know how good it must have been. Camping as well…brave.

Get out there and enjoy it ... nice pics!

Good trip, I have done many road trips but never Wales in the Z yet. Enjoyed it years ago in my Spitfire.
