Write Up Lakes and Dales Tour 2023.

I would just like to add our thanks to Andy and Yvonne for all the hard work involved in organising this years' Lakes and Dales Event, it was absolutely superb :scorecard:. It was a pleasure to lead group two again and thanks for everyone for sticking together. The walky talky's worked really well.

Great routes, great company, great scenery and the weather was with us for the whole time. Andy, I don't know who you spoke to to arrange the weather but please keep those lines of communication open.

It was lovely to meet up with old friends again and great to meet up with some new friends too, it's always good to be able to connect names on the forum to faces.

Back home now but shattered after just over 650 top down miles over the whole weekend.

Overall a brilliant weekend, this one will go down in history, we will always remember the 2023 tour, thank you, looking forward to the next one already.

Oh, I think we need to get that bl**dy peacock a girlfriend, he may have then have a lie in.

Dave & Pauline

Great pics Dave, as per.

Tony.

I can only echo Dave's comments above - it was a VERY enjoyable time and a special "Thank You" to Andy and Yvonne - when something is so successful as we experienced, it clearly demonstrates that a lot of hard work went into making it the success it was.
The relaxed atmosphere and everyone making us both feel so very welcome on our first outing really did add to the overall enjoyment and a truely pleasurable experience we shall never forget. We would also like to thank all those that helped out and especially Steve who led our group - Thank you so much.
Kind Regards to one and all,
Brendan & Joanna.

Our pleasure folks. It was nice to meet you both and glad you both had a good weekend 😊

I was asked the question of what Passes did we do in the Lakes.

Up past Windermere to Ambleside, up and over Kirkstone Pass, on up towards Pooley Bridge and Ulswater. On to the A66 westbound over Newlands Valley Pass, Buttermere and Honister Pass. Derwent Water and up to Keswick then back down to Ambleside. Langdale Pass, Wrynose Pass, Hardknott Pass, Birker Fell, Ulpha, Corney Fell then back to the hotel.
Is that all 🤣

Still editing etc. Following Brendan and Joanna. Ending up behind Vinnie. Day one.
