ha ha sorry didn’t mean to offend cyclists, very tongue in cheek as I’ve had to sell my bike as I can’t risk cycling anymore after tearing an artery so sedate driving will have to do for me.Hi and welcome from nearby Derbyshire. One of the Z3 s I had leaked at the top of the windows. Turned out that the rubber seals had deteriorated with age . New ones from BMW were not very expensive and easily fitted. I'm a 'bloody cyclist' as well as a petrol head so I'll avoid Holmfirth.![]()
Only helpful comments and good friendly banter on hereWorth adding I’ve been a member on watch forums for years and they are so keen to say snipy sarcastic things like “have you ever heard of the search tool” etc. Glad to say this has been nothing but helpful so far.
Afternoon guys, I’m new to the forum so big hello to you all.
I just got myself a 1998 z3 1.9 as a summer runabout.
This year I was planning on getting a motorbike as part of my ongoing mid life crisis (41 next week!) but a life threatening injury at Xmas (torn carotid artery) has sadly put those dreams to bed...so next best and slightly more safe option...2 seater convertible roadster and what better than the BMW Z3.
loved it for 25 years when I watched Goldeneye (still feel it’s a shame we never saw those stinger missiles in action!).
I have a few questions about the car as I’m a car novice but this will be my new hobby and from what I’ve read from the sidelines I’m in the right place for the advice I’m going to need!
best
