With the Z3M VDO analog clocks now over 25 years old, what success has anyone had recently on getting them fixed or replaced.

Here in states, and my 1998 M Roadster clock has now become erratic. (original owner BTW!)

Theres loads on the tinterweb over here for £20 upwards.
If its anything like other Z3 stuff taking it apart and cleaning lubrication etc will get it working again!

Problem I see is buying a used clock that maybe works but goes TU a week later!... BTW nothing I found here online is that cheap.
As to taking it apart, from the pics I've seen it really doesn't lend itself to an easy disassembly. Looks like the hole for the bulb is the the only opening. I figure its worth a shot but looks to be PITA to get out. Mean while, weather is too nice to mess with it now!

My clock also is partially working and yes, replacements online want upwards of +$100 or more. If someone came up with a 3d printed replacement would be nice :)

Take it out and put a g meter in. =))
