well guys my first euro trip in my z and wow was it a gooden.
hull to zeebrugge in a force 8 gale which was well not good then a short stay in brugge see the sights and visit our fav eating house we go to regular...
then down to the black forest in Germany and 3 days in baden baden.
if I could muster some fancy words about how fabulous the scenery and the ppl and the roads and the forest was I would say ................. err no I cant but was brill.
then 2 days at the nurburgring we took the z round there and was not disappointed .have always fancied it and it was every thing id hoped it would be.
yes scary but wow was buzzing all day.
then up to the spa in Belgium for the porsche racing and the vw meeting of 7000 vw of all kinds met some great ppl there.
then to a small race track in Belgium were you race what you take. then up to Amsterdam a race track were there was supercar racing which was brill.
we did most of the miles on back roads which was brilliant except the autoban.
I was hoping for a good run but when you got up to speed ie 120 some one pulled in front of you .very frustraiting and seem to happen all the time .was on at busy time big mistake.
we saw sights on the back roads ppl would not normally see except the locals and was like a breath of fresh air.

the one thing sticks in my head my grandson took me on one of these dangerous roads 2000 foot drop no barriers one foot from the edge now that's when your ticker starts to up its beat. but loved it.

I have a million memories of the trip but thought I would just enlighten u with this quick view on the things we did.
if u avnt done it before and u get the chance go for it u will never regret it thx for reading

Didn't they used to hold F1 at Zandvoort Mike, back in the 70's? I seem to remember a very narrow track and little run off in those days.

Tony.

The Nazi's kicked it off when they built communication roads to their bunkers on the coast.
I suppose you could say over here 'what did the Nazi's do for us'........

Hey Googy, I think you went to Zandvoort, north west of Amsterdam......:)

I think you are correct there Mike. We stayed no far from there in two occasions but unfortunetly there wasn't any racing going on at the times we were there.

@Googy take the five days and tour the rest of Holland. There is so much to see, such good food and about the friendliest people I've ever met. Would go back tomorrow if I possibly could. Give it a try and drop in at HT's while you're there, I would!! JIM
