Not such a good turnout this year:

Did you post it up on here? I am sure @Mnbrennan would of booked with Zorg If he had seen it :(

I was with the car club Eastern region, 450 Eastern members, 6 coming me and 1 other turned up!
Weather a issue to some but personally i found it a great day and thoroughly enjoyed the whole show, a great improvement from previous years.

They need a different venue/format - have been a number of times over the years but too much the same to go again.

It's a shame, but I think they've started to rely on non-club members to pad out the numbers these days. The individual regions are where the activity happens, but seemingly they don't want to get involved at a national level much. They ran their forum down to the point of almost zero interaction, and now seem to purely rely on Facebook/Twitter to generate interest.

The weather clearly didn't help much either. As for the level of forum attendance, we got 40+ cars to Vanity this year - so it must be something to do with the event...

The car club have been trying to involve and welcome the forums more over the past couple of years and the national festival has been a different format recently and been much better than before. The weather may have put people of but it's an event organised months in advance just like others. Vanity is obviously the forum favourite currently, Santa Pod was also a poor turn out this year. It would be nice to see different events and venues each year and not the same over and over. Roll on Zedfest.

Roll on Zedfest.

Looking forwards to ZedFest mate, hope the weather plays nice. Just looked on BBC and it's looking pretty good.

Tony.

Don’t get me wrong, I think that events come in and out of fashion. I remember in my early days it was all about Cars in the Park and we’d have 20-30 cars. Vanity I think has hit a high point, and maybe after next year that will start to quieten off as well. Maybe something else will come along to replace it, or everyone starts revisiting some of the other events. Who knows!

I for one will be Silverstone Classic every year as it's a special event
I would of liked to do Gaydon but work got in the way :(

I was there with BMWCC EA region group - it was indeed wet early on then cleared up a bit leaving the day overcast & a bit drizzly. However, I thoroughly enjoyed the day, it was the first time i've attended this event although I've been to the museum many years ago, so it was good to visit it again. I have read comments made by visitors on another forum & also on FB and some have been negative saying it's the same old format year after year and that attendance this year was apparently less than previous years - I can't comment on that as this was my first time - but what I will say is that a lot of people have put a lot of time & effort into this event to make it a successful as possible and in my opinion they did a great job.
OK some of the 'independent' car clubs didn't get the numbers they usually get, that could be down to a few reasons, not widely promoted with their club/group, or have been before, don't like the parking arrangements (on the hill), or simply the rotten weather put them off.

I don't care what anyone else says - I had a great day!

Silverstone was a great event this year and I would like to go again next year as long as it doesn't clash with Vanity again as I want to go to that also.

I still had a great day on Sunday, weather wasn't as bad a forecast and was still well attended by other regions and forums. Apart from the Coupes there wasn't many other zeds there at all. We did get to see the new 8 series and that looked very nice indeed.
