Write Up Elgin Motor Museum

We visited Elgin Motor Museum today, which is a family owned and run museum, and met Tom MacWhirter who started it and who owns most of the cars.

There are many more. It's a lovely museum, with free tea or coffee! Most of the cars are used regularly, and some can be hired as wedding cars, including a 1920's Maharajah's Rolls Royce.

The family whose museum it is also own a big home store on the other side of the road called Decora, which sells everything. But more importantly, it also contains Millers Cafe, where we indulged in excellent haddock and chips from an extensive menu. It might make a good lunch stop if required. Good to book in though, as it’s very popular with the locals. Anyway, just a thought.
