After being confined indoors due to rain for a day or so, todays bright fine morning could not be resisted. Tops off, Camera loaded, motion lotion purchased and I was off inland to the McKenzie Country, South Island, New Zealand.

Compulsory photo stops along the way to gather more pictures for several "4 seasons" series I'm working on. Had to include Mora in a couple of photos.

Trip was from Timaru, Tekapo, Twizel, Omarama, down the Waitaki valley, Waimate and back to Timaru. About 6 1/2 hours, 233 miles.

Mora purred like a kitten all the way. Absolutely amazed at how well she is running after the putting new seals in the twin VANOS and filling her exclusively with Premium 98 fuel. 34 mpg for the day is pleasing.

Great scenery Murray. We'll be in that area this time next year:thumbsup:

Let me know when you're passing and I'll put the billy on for a brew.
:thankyou:Great idea, thanks for the offer. We're still in the planning stages but we can't book our flights for another few weeks, when we have some dates I'll PM you:thumbsup:

Colour of that water is just stunning. Looks just like skeg over here! :wideyed:

The light blue lake in the background is glacial feed, you're seeing the glacial flour suspended in the water.

The other spot with crystal clear water is a natural spring.

Just to make you feel better about being in Winter, here are acouple of photos of the same general area taken in June 2016 (N.Z. Winter) in -5 degrees C temps.

Some stunning pictures there Murray, especially for me, the first winter one. Not to forget the stunning car as well.

I've been doing some itinerary planning and we will definitely be passing your way. It'll be towards the end of our visit to your wonderful country. By that time Dave will be missing his Zed terribly  so I'm sure seeing yours will make him very happy

Look forward to meeting you and seeing your Zeds :racecar::racecar:
