Write Up BMW Sommerfest

Very enjoyable day yesterday at Donington Park. Managed not to get sunburnt either!
Was supposed to be taking my Z to be the Cornwall Region representative for the BMWCC but as it's still in the garage I was forced to give up my spot and attend as a passenger.
Mind you, that did mean I travelled there in the one BMW I'd probably have over any other - this beautiful 650i.

I hope so mate. Was a great day, even the racing was good. Nice to relax in the sun with a cider and reminisce with a good friend.

Had a very long weekend helping out but very enjoyable. A great event lets hope we can repeat it next year.

This was probably one of my favourite events, Silverstone still has the number 1 spot. Definately will be there next year good display of every BMW you can think of from the rear engined 700 to the exotic Z8.

Great day out at Donnington, plenty to see and good weather. A few Z3 M Coupes turned up and Dave Preston got 2nd in the Concours Elite Class. Managed to get a a group shot of the six M Coupes that turned before we left. The Dakar Yellow Coupe isn't Stacey's it belongs to chap called Vince. We had a good natter amongst us exchanging sill cover, boot floor, caliper refurb, Vanos stories etc.

The set up for the different model layout could do with a little refining but for a first time at Donnington instead of Gaydon its a thumbs up from me.
