'Make hay while the sun shines' or rather 'Get out with the top down while ...'. Let's face it, it won't last! So lunch at Fairways Garden Centre, careful not to knock over Grumps fudge stash, then a splendid drive around the quiet lanes of the Peak District followed by a spot of rest in our usual spot at The Barrel, Bretton.

Looked a great day out Ken:thumbsup:

I can certainly think of worse ways to spend an afternoon! I was going to do a bit of gardening, but thought it could wait. :D Looks like you had a nice day yesterday Dave. We used to live at Brailsford and there were two tiny cafes there, but I thought they had closed. I've noticed there's a place on the left as you're leaving Brailsford towards Ashbourne. Is that where you went? What's it like?

Yes Ken, previously we have used both of the cafe's in Brailsford. The Blueberry Tea Room closed down post COVID and the Buttermilk Coffee House is now a 'Tasting Club Restaurant'. So we now use Chloe’s Bakehouse & Coffee Shop, as you say on the left leaving towards Ashbourne. It's very good, they don't do a breakfast like full english or bacon baps but they have a fine range of cakes and pastries;). Recommended:thumbsup:

I was watching very nervously when the chap took his bike past my car, but he was careful and left it lying down on the bank Adrian. :)
