Thought we'd take advantage of the weather the day before lockdown 2.0.
I put a quick route together in the Peaks incorporating all my favourite roads . We had to call in to Bakewell to return some items so we stopped for a coffee and tea and some of their traditional Bakewell Tart in one of the many tea rooms. Then off for a bit of fun :coolsteer)before stopping in Winkhill for lunch. A great top down day although the wall to wall sunshine that was in the forecast failed to materialise. A few pics...

Last trip out for a bit I think:(

Sounds like a great day out
Better than mine - crawling around the loft fitting boards

I have that t-shirt as well, a few years ago now

It does Dave keeps zeds on the road also means I only have parts bills for them and no labour so as much as its a drag some days there is also positives.

Good to see you and Pauline out enjoying some roof down zedding.
Shame the sun didn't grace the Peak District though  but at least there was no rain :).

I managed a convoluted run into Lincoln and back this afternoon but that's all.

Tony.

... but at least there was no rain...
There may have been a spot or two:whistle:, nothing to worry us though. It maybe some time before we can get together again Steve:(

We had a pre lockdown Pool night at the Swan tonight and our Gary came for tea and brought a change of clobber and took a shower at ours. Really enjoyed it, a good night.

Yes sadly that does seem to be the case mate :banghead: .
Was looking forward to some winter cruises as well.
At least I'm still allowed to go to work this time :banghead::banghead::banghead: :arghh:.

Sounds far more enjoyable than pre lock down panic shopping mate .

Yep our Gary can continue to work through this one Steve, so as a single dad it makes things better for him. Take care though mate.

Tony.

Sounds good:thumbsup:

It was Dave, a really fun night and as his Wednesday night football is being moved to a Monday night soon, hopefully he can make it a regular thing. Lodgings are fairly cheap too.;)

Tony.

As you said Dave, great minds think alike. You have better roads though. 👍

Been to B&Q twice for bits needed to combat bad weather if we get some. The second time the Fiat was available but decided the Coupe should get its first indoctrination into shopping runs as I've had it for just over 2yrs now. B&Q is just over a mile away and sponge pipe lagging doesn't way much and fits into the boot nicely. Got back 1.5hrs later and the wife asked if the queue's were that bad it's taken so long to which my reply was YES the queue was the problem but not at B&Q it was on the M1.
Life goes on and so did 70 miles added. Can't get enough time behind the wheel even though Im retired.Think I might volunteer to do more shopping runs in the future.
So so sad it's come to this, but better than watching all the crap repeats on afternoon tv.

RHA, Roy.

PS; two brown envelopes arrived this morning and I was reluctant to open either.

Brown ones never good but some nasty white ones cross the Atlantic to us Roy. Best shopping trolley I’ve heard of mate.;) I won’t be able to use mine as I have a front sidelight bulb out, only fitted them when I got the car. You can’t get owt to last . . . . . . .

Tony.
