Well since owning my 3.0 Z3 I have been trying to figure out what she would cost me on a big long run. So having to visit people in the UK with my work. I decided to take the little girl on a shake down. Winchester to Hull, then York and up to Perth. Then the route all the way back south again. I covered just under 1100 miles in three days and she went very well. Two yellow vans in Cumbria as well so I hope they did not get a photo. @Andy McDonnell they do love hiding away.

Met Katie Jane, ( I would tag her is I could remember the name on here @Aceman ?) for breakfast on day two as well. Was good seeing Felix her Z3 and meeting the lovely lady as well. Got some strange looks as I had the top down all the way up to Scotland. The route back though, what a difference, heaven rain and very strong winds. So that top had to remain shut.

Impressive figures for Fi too. 33.9 mpg over the whole trip using Shell V-Nitro and BP Ultimate as the Shell stations became rare north of the border. 417 miles shown for the range too, not that I would trust it.

A very lovely run.

Wow @pgunter :p
Seams like your had fun in the last few days :)

My car generally feels "better" after a long run. All oils up to temp for some hours, cobwebs blown away etc.

Sounds like you had a great few days Paul. I get similar returns from Bluebird, just as long as I don't stray too far past 75.

Im a long stones throw away from Perth, wish I'd have know you were in the area.

A good bit of practice for June, I bet you don't get that fuel consumption in the Alps.

Pity, a good stop off point en route south is Stafford you could have called at the Mints :)

Ooops silly me we were away but our cats would have greeted you lol
