Write Up A foggy day in the Peaks

No idea Dave. No posts. No response to PMs. Not like Andy to go off-grid.
Andy was last on the 1.45 Ian. Bit odd must say.
A bit worrying old chap

That's something at least. It's about a minute or two after I left.
Weather not on our side today but we are in the depths of winter in Derbyshire!
Good to meet up with some old friends and a taster for what's to come in 2017.
Although curtailed due to the weather Synclaire took us on a interesting route through just a sample of the Peaks including what looked like a deep Ford so we sent Synclaire through first! Followed by Andy with myself and Brian reluctant followers, 6" as we all know is quite deep?

Well apart from just 2 zeds no-one turned up! Got to Carsington for 12.30 (just) and headed off to Tissington for the customary dip to be met with "'I'm not going through that" in a girly type voice (
), so I had to brave the raging torrent first just to prove they'd neither get swept away or need bilge pumps after! Quick trot around the village and on to Ilam via Throwley and the farmyard and back at Ilam having done the circuit. Into the tea rooms for a brew and bacon bap (thanks very kindly to Andy who picked up the tab). After an hours nattering we all went our way as not really sight seeing weather. Nevertheless a good afternoon, good to see Andy again and such a sterling drive to make it too. Showed a photo on my phone I took t'other week of where we had just been (one I prepared earlier job!) to show what they would have seen if there was sun and no mist but heyho can't do owt about the weather!

Well we were there
Met up with Adrian Andy and Paul must have left carsington about 12.45 ish
Stayed over in Matlock sat night so had no signal at all ,lots crying off apparantley so we thought nobody else would turn up! Did the planned route
Tissington etc through river ( very deep!!) cow pat farm etc. Foggy and cold with a sprinkling of the white stuff!
Not the best weather for viewing the countryside but it was a long overdue run in the zed!

Me and Mozz arrived around 11:50 and left around 13:00. We spotted brillies zed but saw no trace of him. We wandered into the downstairs cafe and then went to the upstairs one. This is when redline turned up and we sat for around an hour, we even posted up on the forum so people knew we were there, but apart from redline no one else found us
