One of our regular runs..this time up to Rannoch Moor for lunch…a 12 mile long no through road leading to the Rannoch train station which acts as a service point for the Highland line

The weather needs to be just so or you’ll be eaten alive by the midges..

Bright skies and a breeze were a good result..

14 cars should have made it..11 did..by Z3 standards pretty good!😂🤣🧐

Looks a great day out.
Pray do tell how to avoid midges.

Out is out, looks a great day out. I don't even know what that last desert is, but I want one . . .
That was described as ‘banana split’….if Carlsberg made banana splits…fabulous!👍

Yup a road that just goes to the train station….unless you have a good 4x4..

You become expert in midge forecasting..but bright sunshine and more than 5 mph wind renders them grounded..clegs more problematic..but at least it’s a more even battle.,🤣🧐

Whats a cleg?
Clegs (horseflies)

Concentrated in the northern highlands, these relatively large insects have a vicious bite. You will only feel the bite as the fly disengages to fly off, by which time it is too late. They do not swarm in large numbers and thankfully are relatively uncommon.

Ok. I'll take the bait. What's a Grockle 🤷‍♂️
I extend it to anyone with an Arnold Clark sticker on their car, most small Citroen, Nissan cars and anyone driving in a manner akin to loitering , meandering, inattentive driving ..so quite a big list…😳🧐😂
