Smaller show, been remiss at taking pictures lately, so tried to start today before a shower put a dampner on things. Oh well, hopefully others can add a few I didn't get to . . .

The green Bentley was for sale at £8,500, no idea if thats good or not, but it did look nice.

Looked at the little Austin, saw twin SU carburetors, that's a little ambitious isn't it ?

And. I didn't know what a GTM is, but this one looked nice. Looked rear engined. DVLA says it's an 1800cc. Kindof proportioned like an MGF. But you wouldn't put a similar looking kit on a donor MGF would you ? Anyone really know what it is / was ?

Apparently those MGFs are really going up in value finally. Really good ones are selling for nearly a tenner, so I hear.=))

Just one of a large number of British 'kit car' manufacturers over the years. Most went bankrupt in the end.

Looks like the one in the photo is a GTM Spyder.

My neighbour has a 1989 'Levante', which was a sort or copy of the mk1 Lotus Elan. These were built by a company around the corner from me called Evantune, who originally tuned old 1960s small 4 pots.
It's a funny little thing; Elan-esque front and Triumph TR7 rear lights. Connolly leather interior, full walnut dash and a 1700 twin cam engine. They were very very expensive when new. Not many sold; unsurprisingly.

He tells me it goes well and is great fun, but doesn't like starting. Always a bit of a problem.

A Z3, another replica (cos that Merc ain't real either) and a real Moggie.
Dont think it was a Z3 totally differant windscreen and A posts,The Merc was built from the ground up on a Merc chasiis even included matching luggage as per the original> They were both very impressive

250SWB looks to be based on a 1997 2.8.
Merc is based on a 2003 SLK320

Ah yes, I forgot about the DVLA reg look up!
So the Merc looks like it was finished very recently and the Z3 looks like someone has access to the speedo live, or it only goes to one very local show a year, every year.

I find it quite sad. The 250 is not being driven if the MOT history is to be believed. The original merc was probably a nice one, maybe being kept for the rebody project for quite a while.

The Merc SL what kit would that be? Looks to have gullwing doors with usual 'kit gap' issues. But also windscreen changed, windscreen surround n all. Thats not just bolt-on panels. Screen surround is proper fabrication or death trap.

I won't mention mine, then. 🤭
