Read this and it’s got me thinking: how old is your Z?

Whose Z is the oldest? And the youngest?

God willing, our Zs will celebrate becoming 100 years young 🙏

In 2095, after the storms stripped the coasts bare and the skies turned a permanent amber, some blokes will drive a rust-armored BMW Z3 across the cracked salt flats that used to be the Scotland while the CD43 radio will be hissing to ghost signals from old satellites still clinging to orbit.
Fuel will be a currency, traded between drifters and the scattered enclaves that cling to desalination rigs on shrinking lakes.

The air in what was once South Wales hung thick with the scent of damp earth and rust, a permanent twilight cast by the perpetual drizzle. The driver, a retired software engineer whose mind still hummed with forgotten code and syntax errors, coaxed his Z3 over the buckled tarmac. Once a half finished homage to the classic 507, its elegant lines were now obscured by plates of salvaged steel and scavenged mesh, the unpainted gel coat now covered by a mottled, protective grime. The roar of its re-engineered M44 echoed off the skeletal remains of the valleys, a defiant pulse in a landscape reclaimed by wild growth and the silent, watchful hills. He navigated by instinct and the faint, flickering glow of a repurposed tablet, its screen a map of forgotten roads and the treacherous, waterlogged paths that wound between the drowned villages.

Sounds just like it was the last time I went there. In fact EVERY time I have been there. ;)
