Hi guys so I know that the H7 bulbs are 55w standard and I’ve read that placing a 100w bulb can damage electrical circuits?
What is the maximum H7 bulbs can I use?
What about philips 160% 200% more light bulbs has a yo used these, or osram day or night breakers has anyone fitted these on their car, have you had problems with them??

I used Night Breakers on my 2000 Z3 and also the upgraded ones on my Z4. They use the original power supplied by the headlight circuit but make better use of it.

They are good I run them in my V70R, I run 6k HID’s in the Zed nice and white with a hint of blue.
All well and good but aftermarket HIDs are now an MOT fail.

I take them out for the MOT, along with my small front number plate, amber marker lights and led number plate lights.

MOT fail in the UK. Stick with Osram Night Breaker bulbs.

Phillips or The Osram both good quality.
The led bulbs you were looking at I have a set of them at home that I bought for the zed .
Colour looks awesome. But that's about where there good news ends on dip beam they struggle to focus the light correctly into the beam pattern ( so a bit of splatter so leaves glare to oncoming traffic) and the main beam also dont focus correctly so no proper depth of light to the main beam

So not worth the extra €€€

I tried Osram in my daily drive and wasn't that impressed, I fitted H7 80w and that made a huge difference, I was concerned that I might dazzle other drivers but never got flashed once all winter.

The only problem with higher wattage bulbs is they put extra strain on 20 yr old wiring also the extra heat can damage light units with prolonged use ( not saying either of these are a given but are both definitely a possibility )
