My two cats, Turkish Angora half sisters, sadly no longer with us, I had them put down when I got the Z.

Muis

Izzy

Just kidding, they both died at the ripe old age of 15, quite old for this sort of cat, within weeks of each other, months before I got the Z in 2009. Muis went first and then Izzy just pined away, used to sit looking out into the garden waiting for Muis to come home. The vet said that this could not happen, I said "we watched it happen".

This is Fred Bobbit, my best mate. He'll be 10yrs old this November. He cost me £50 and it's the best £50 I've ever spent.

He's a council estate special, a kind of Lurcher really. He weighs 35kgs and is fit as a flea. I got him at 10 weeks old on St Valentines day in 2005.

When he's in the house you wouldn't know he was there unless someone knocks the door, then he barks so loud that the windows rattle.

In true Lurcher fashion he is an accomplished hunter and his prey to date consists of 100 + rabbits, 10's of squirrels, 10's of rats, 3 x magpies, 2 x crows, loads of pigeons and 1 mole. He nearly caught a Buzzard one Saturday morning in our local woods. The Buzzard was on the path about 75yrds in front of us and when Fred saw it he took off like a dragster.
The Buzzard heard him and started running to aid it's take off. It just about got airborne as Fred got there. Another couple of seconds and he would have been an ex buzzard.

Oh bless em. It can happen! Your right in saying your vet was wrong. Animals pine, fact!

Here is our stupid chocolate lab Barney…..

Beautiful dog but as daft as a brush!
We had one of those stupid ones too Brian. He was cream/white coloured and his name was Sam. We lost him shortly after we lost our Carla.

Tony.

Wow jack you really love your pooch! Good on ya! We laff in our house that the spaniel is jues and the Yorkie mine. Jue used to find it funny that her then strapping 17stone husband would take the Yorkie out on his lead with its coat on! My reply was, he needs his coat on cos his coat is very fine and he gets cold! Who's the soft sod?
