Isn't that cathedral awesome Dan!! So much to see so little time. That's why we went back four and five times. Keep on enjoying!! JIM

Thanks again Dan, how good was that to meet up with Ludger and his wife too. I have seen pictures of the bridge with all the locks on it before somewhere.:):)

On the last leg of our Journey to Limborit, Cologne - Slenaken, Ludger took us from Cologne to Aachen on thye scenic roads of Eifel mountains.
The weather was totally against our trip , but didn't stopped us to see beautiful places:

Hi Dan, such a shame the weather hasn't been on your side but even so more pictures of beautiful old buildings and towns. Hope the sun shies for you all from now on.

Tony.

It was a pleasure for us to drive together through our home area and show you some hidden roads.
Again a common passion is the reason to meet beautiful people. It's a chance we took as the same present was given to us earlier this year!!
Enjoy to meet Florentina,Dan and all the other members of Dutch Limborit tomorrow!

What an amazing thread, Zeti, we have thoroughly enjoyed seeing all the beautiful pictures, thanks for sharing them with us, it was almost as if we were there with you!!

Thanks Dan, the area around Aachen is beautiful and we spent quite a lot of time in the area as it was so close to my friend's place in SE Holland. Keep the pics coming as you aren't even half way through your trip yet!! JIM

Excellent write up with great photos of what seems to have been an amazing holiday - thanks for sharing!

I'm afraid nobody mentioned the poor souls lost when raising this beautiful castle on the edge.
In the main hall they kept a genuine piece of the rock, where the castle is built and which gave the name; being a white stone , a shiny one, they name it Licht Stein: the rock of light.
I forgot to mention two things, one sad: on these beautiful scenic roads I drove 95% roof on! Due to rainy days , is the first time I drive the Zed with roof on, for such a long period! The amazing synchronization is that every time we stopped for visiting the rain stopped too and each time we start it rains like hell!...
I think it's the only car in the city carrying a cover, during night time!
Another good point was the clutch pedal stopper: it's great with it, I love it!
Another thread : the price of the petrol is between 1.29- 1.39 EUR/l, but all have 5% (it's minimum!) And 10% ethanol in it!
So , if you buy with 10% is cheaper than the one with 5%("Super")! I asked if I can buy somewhere without ethanol mixture, (while my self I'm using daily enough ethilic, in the weissbier!) and they told me that all petrol must have min 5% ethanol....
Clutch pedal stopper?.............Frankie

Thanks for a Pic of @Ludger Kieven . Is it the first one posted on the forum or did I miss one? Now I know who to look for the first time I go to meet him. Frankie
