Hi all

I am new to the forum. Been lurking for a couple of days since I bought a Z3.
Fantastic forum and amazing friendly advice and help. Thank you all.

Mine is a 2002. 3.0. Manual Topaz Blue. 145000km (90000ml) Will post some pics later.
Had it thoroughly checked and it seems to be mint :)
It will need a new rear screen soon and the passenger seat power switch is toast so waiting for the parts to come.
Other than that I just need to find a way to lower the seat an inch further than it will go now. I am tall. Would be fine if the steering had some adjustment. Coming from a Z4 it's annoying. That said, I really prefer the 'feel' over the Z4

Looking forward to driving it more. It is mid-winter here so clear skies and a freezing 19°C :)

Great city you live in and some great drives in the surrounding areas. We did them in an a/c saloon years ago - would love to repeat in a Zed.

Hi, welcome from Mansfield - UK.

In terms of leg room, I was having the same issue as I couldn't extend my legs fully.

I purchased a seat tilt kit from @t-tony. It basically lifts the front 2 mounting points on the seat, therefore giving you a more secure seating position but at the same time giving you an inch or 2 of extra leg room, as your legs have to extend further to reach the pedals.

Hi buddy. I'm in Jhb. Any help you might need, let me know.
I have some excellent contacts here for parts if you're looking.
Also, you have to make contact with Imcomex here in Centurion. They carry Meyle and SWAG parts for BMW.
The prices are around 50% - 70% less than the dealer prices. Stuff like drive belts, CCV valve, ERG valve, some mechanical parts like bushes, diff mount bushes, Aircon parts, etc etc.
if you haven't already discovered realOEM.com, get onto the website for all parts specific to your car. Just enter the last 6 digits of your VIN number and hit "Search" then " Browse parts, then select the icon which is most likely to list the part you're looking for. It'll give you the part number and aprox cost in USD.
Cheers
Barry.
PS. You can't lower the seats... :(
