Having a conversation with someone on eBay about my mirrors for sale.
Just going round in circles.
They keep asking if I will take it back if it doesn't fit.
To which I reply it will 100% fit any z3 on the road, guaranteed.

To which they reply, 'but will you take it back if it doesn't'?
.... No, because it fits!

:rage:  :banghead:

Anyone else have trouble with people on ebay?

I bought a pop up stereo with built in satnav a couple of years ago and when i got it it did not work. Kept telling the person who i bought it off this and all they said was it worked when it was in our car, we just kept going back and forth so i sent it to dispute and won

They even told me it probably would not cost me much to get it repaired.

Sounds like someone who thinks they can ‘do things themself’, so they try to fit it and break it - as they are a moron and should be leftvanywhere near a screwdriver. Then complain to eBay that you sold them something that didn’t match its description.

Think that if you sell it to them you will be getting into a dispute very quickly and it’ll take ages to be resolved. Also, knowing eBay they will side with the buyer and give them a refund. You’ll be left out of pocket and with a broken part (if they ever return it).

If it was me, I would steer clear!

My thoughts exactly.
I'd be expecting a different wing mirror to return (their old one)

I have met some scary people on ebay. I sometimes wonder whether I should be dealing with their therapist instead!

I once got a message after cancelling a sale telling me they knew where I live and would be round that night with friends to sort me out. =))

I said thanks for the warning I'll get my shotgun out of the gun safe just come right in :ymdevil:

P.s I don't have a shotgun

I was one of the first people on eBay UK in the 1990s. In fact when I started on eBay there was no eBay UK, only eBay US.

I sold thousands of Scalextric cars over the years. Very happily. But it went downhill about 10 years ago. I packed in about 5 years ago when I'd had enough of all the morons and eBay stacking everything in the buyer's favour.

Simple for me. Use eBay to sell - expect plenty of d*ckheads and to loose every dispute you end up in by default even if the buyer clearly smashed it up with a sledgehammer. If you don't like it vote with your feet and sell on here or another medium instead. That's what I do.

Great for buying though.

I "sold" a Z3 on eBay. The buyer let it run right to the end then told me they had no money. I sold some motorbike luggage to a decent chap from Stoke. He paid up bang on the dot. PayPal have paid the money into the wrong account that I cannot access, will they sort it, will they f""k. Talking to other peeps there seem to be an unusual number of sudden redundancies among ebayers at sale end. It's a minefield but as mrscalex says it's great for buyers.:(

I have found PayPal to be pretty quick sorting out their erreors but suspect that they keep the money in their account longer than necessary sometimes to improve the amount of interest they accumulate daily. Good luck. JIM
