In the interests of sharing, I found this link to some short driving roads that can be joined together as required. The article contains links to the google maps versions that is zoomable so you can see where you are.

I dont know about you, but when heading to a new area, I'm looking at the map and thinking - which is the better zedding road ? So hope this helps - I've been on most of these and it is a very pretty part of the world (locals will tell you its Gods Own County).

Any additions and recomendations gratefully received.

Oh, and lunch at the Black Sheep Brewery in Masham (they do tours), thank me later . . .

Off out today so Hutton le Hole to Whitby added to route, Cheers Alex (Pity we couldn't have just a bit warmer weather)

Good find mate
Always fancied Yorkshire, trouble is if we are going that far we would just keep going to the west coast of Scotland  now that is Gods own Country :)

I often like to get up that way ;) Some really good routes and roads - some mentioned there, some not
Black Sheep Brewery  Also if around Hawes, the creamery is worth a look, for free cheese tasting :D

The Black Sheep Brewery tour, another  from me. We were the only two on the day/time we went. I've travelled the Wharfedale Circuit loads of times over the last 50 or so years as I have relatives in living in Kettlewell. Although I get to it via Leyburn, West Burton and Kettlewell past Kilnsey Craig to Grassington. The blast over Kidstones is brilliant, especially if you have a clear road in front of you.
Mind I have a photo somewhere of going over Kidstones in winter to my grandparents cottage in Kettlewell and ended up following a snow plough through and the snow was about 6ft deep!!! That was in my first car an Austin A40 Farina with go faster mods.:coolsteer) Interesting journey that was.
