Nice to meet @Domenico T Diiorio and "Bernard from Lincoln" at the CITP show today at Lotherton, near Wetherby. When we arrived there were 7 Z3s (including 2 Z3M Coupes) and a handful of Z4 again a couple of coupes. After a bit of chat we went off to find coffee and have a look around the grounds. We got back around 12:30 to find many people had already headed off and numbers depleted.

We grouped the remaining few together for a quick photo session.

Bernard is active on the Zcoupe forum and whilst he looks at Zorg from time to time is not active. He is the second owner of this Z3M Coupe having bought it 5 years ago with 8,000 miles on the clock. It has now done 16,000 and looks as if he has just driven it out of the main BMW dealers showroom. A rare car indeed.

We left at 14:00 leaving only the blue Z3 2.0. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet the owners who had gone off exploring. If you are a ZOrg-ster give a shout!!

The sun was shining so we headed home via the the Yorkshire Dales ending up in Cumbria, then turning right to get back to the east side of the country. 87 miles to get there and 160 miles to get back.

An enjoyable day for the chosen few.

Hi HT, Don't know why people left so early (didn't get a chance to ask!!). There were a lot of "modern" sports cars which may not have suited everybody. CITP have a very relaxed approach to arrival and departure and its OK to stay for a couple of hours. The guy who has done a V8 transplant was there (sorry don't recall his name) and I heard he headed of to "do some work on his car".

Last CITP I went to was Newby Hall last year. Must have been 20 or so Zs and most stayed until after 15:00.

Looks like you had a great day :p
Thanks for sharing ;)

That will be @deano1712 with the V8 conversion he only lives 2 minutes away from Lotherton.

That's the problem with Lotherton though there is nothing much there to look at and when you have had a few chats and wondered around after an hour or so not much reason to stick around.

Oh dear sounds like a bit of a flop this year. Was quite busy last year. The guy the runs it hadn't even got it on the events page on .net! If you can't be bothered........sorry but if your not prepared to make an effort on your own website you ain't gonna get much of a turnout. o_O

Enjoyed it last year and as it looks like Santa Pod will be earlier next year will be going to both Newby and Lotherton in 2016 all being well!

The guy who runs it is Chris Crossley and has his own Cars in the Park (CITP) website and AFAIK the only other site I have seen him post on is Pistonheads, I don't think that he is registered on .net? As well as putting the dates on the CITP website Chris sends an email to everyone who is registered on CITP when the dates of each event are confirmed. Lotheton is usually earlier in September and as others have noted thsi year it clashed with Santa Pod.

I was under the impression he is .net? I may have been misinformed.

I must admit I cannot recall Chris ever posting on .net as it has always been Bill that has organised the run out to this event.
