Fog lifted by 9a.m, sun was out so I was also. A squirt up the Peaks and as it was some time since I had visited the old Magpie Lead Mine I pulled up this time. Used to drive past it every day on the way to work in Buxton.
The mine buildings can be seen in the background.

Nice to sit there and have your sarnies and a brew in the open in the sun.

Mine is situated top of Chelmorton Moor before you drop down onto the main Ashbourne-Buxton road opposite the Bookshop which is also worthy of a peruse.
Onto Alstonefield, Milldale, Ecton way for a leisurely cruise around:

Looks great - think I've done the bookshop but not the other areas so will have to put them on the list 👍
